ABOUT
Dionté
As a black, gay, androgynous & gender non-conforming Capricorn, I've always embraced my uniqueness and used it to fuel my creative drive towards efforts that make an impact. Born & based in Philadelphia, where I earned my BFA in Film Production with a minor in Music Business, Entrepreneurship + Technology (MBET) at The University of the Arts. Today, I’m a Subject Matter Research Consultant (SMRC) for Florida State University remotely; a role that allows me to bring my lived experience, unique perspectives, and media background to the table, while also gaining the opportunity to network with folks from outside of my city.
Parallel to my decade long career in the world of sexual health, my personal passions revolve around content creation, and exploring various mediums to express my artistic visions. Music has always been a primary passion of mine, therefore I'm a dancer, songwriter, & producer; but thanks to my academic background, I’m also a cinematographer, photographer, & graphic designer. All of which are skills that I utilize to produce my content independently.
In addition, I'm also a freelance creative director; collaborating with clients, such as other artists, to bring their projects to fruition. With a deep understanding of storytelling, unique aesthetics, and various visual & auditory mediums, I “wear many hats” and therefore can assist with a wide variety of productions. Whether I’m in front of or behind the camera, I try to create an environment that promotes free flowing expression, which allows my collaborators and I to volley ideas and finalize a cohesive vision.
